In 1998, Yscariot™ started out as “Project H”. After experiencing a few troubles in the previous and following years and playing and reading through a few Japanese game and comic book stories, I took it upon myself to create a story of my own.
Verse 1 is now available for quick read on the site. Simply click here to be taken to the new verse if you haven’t yet read the story anywhere else! Remember that Verse 0 will expire after Verse 2 is released next week! I hope you enjoy my story!
In today’s first-ever UNLIMITED podcast airing. Friends of the author, Marcus Medina, talk about the history of Yscariot to the best of their ability. Marcus Medina uses his awesome memory to recall some events, and we get a deeper look at Charlie Harmony (the person who was the inspiration for the creation of Jon “Lionheart”).
With growing internet traffic, you can preview Yscariot™ (ZETA) for a limited time! Every week will reveal a new verse that will be available for up to 2 weeks! The full ZETA Preview will still be available for anyone who wants to collect the digital book or read ahead!
This art is based on a previous sketch that I gave to Cassy for her birthday. The scenario is based on Yscariot saving a girl under the name “Justice” in Verse #18, The Challenger in the ZETA. I am not so great at drawing, but I decided to give it a try on the coloring. What do you think? 😀
Don’t forget to leave comments, reviews, and ratings on the preview chapters! Any feedback left on Yscariot.com or GooglePlay will be highly appreciated whether it is content-based (story) or format-based (text sized). Thank you so much!
As many of you know, the Action/Heroic fantasy book project that I am writing, titled Yscariot, is a mighty old one that I have built over the course of 16 years. Since mid-January 2014, the story only had 3 written chapters as a graphic hybrid and grown slowly into a small series with three times as many chapters. The reason why I published a series of chapters at a time was because I couldn’t wait to tell the story to the world. Another reason for me starting long before publishing a full novel is because of the length of time to even publish, and with that happening, there are other stories (books and movies) that have been using the same ideas that I created over a decade ago for their own thing. I much rather be the first to showcase my ideas before anyone else for the sake of being original. I do have odes, allusions, and tributes to other stories, but I do it in an original way.
Moving on, I am simply announcing that Yscariot: The Zeta Verses will be releasing shortly on PDF. This means that readers will no longer be limited to previewing the 19 chapters on GooglePlay. The downside to this is that you won’t get that awesome page turning effect, nor will you get the automatic updates that comes with GooglePlay. Again, the story is still in a draft stage, so you as the reader are welcome to suggest changes to any mistake seen or offer critique and feedback.
Lastly, Yscariot: The Alpha Verses will be available in Japanese on May 15th, 2015 on both GooglePlay and PDF formats. Do not be alarmed when seeing news in Japanese, as X’el Studios continues to spread the story to readers of other languages.
