It’s been a long time since the last update. After several delays on the project, the Yscariot comic book series will see its first volume release on January 17th, 2021.
Why January 17th? It is ALPHA DAY! On the same day in 2014, the Alpha comic book was released. This marks an important day of birth for Yscariot when the book was not on released as a product on its first attempt, but it was envisioned to be a comic book as well.
What will make Volume One different from the other comic books previously released? It will be a better value than buying all other books separate. You can also own all previously books at once. In addition, you will get a bonus issue (Issue 6) before it is released to the public, and previous Issues will also be discontinued some time next year. Owning a volume book will continue while newer issues are released in the future.
The release of Issue 6 may occur some time around Mid to Late Spring of next year, but owning Volume One Will definitely provide readers with enough story content to last until the seventh issue is released.
A link to the pre-orders will be available on or around December 30-31st of this year. The Pre-Order will be available to readers for $15, but the regular price may be $20-25 depending on Amazon’s requirements.
Please stay tuned and subscribe to all channels regarding Yscariot for release information!

Books can be viewed on mobile tablets, devices, and desktop!
Please note: Amazon charges by data size and the prices of both Amazon & GooglePlay’s books will change to the $1.99/$2.99 price. If the Amazon’s $2.99 price minimum occurs, then the price of Issue 3 will also remain after $2.99 on June 31st.
Price changes will occur for all books as the world is returning back to work in most places. The regular pricing chart for each book on July 1st is as follows:
- Issue 1 will be priced at $5.99
- Issue 2 will be priced at $4.99
- Issue 3 will be priced at $3.99
- Issue 4 will be priced at $2.99
- Issue 5 will be priced at $1.99
Due to the circumstances of the global situation in China and abroad, operations for Issue 6 will be placed on hold until sales increase. When Issue 6 arrives in the late Fall, expect a big surprise!
Additionally, the novel project Wrath of the Royals and novel Sphere of Light updates will occur over time. A make-up period will see up to 2 seasonal updates before 2021 for WOR and an reading compatibility update for Sphere of Light.
As announced, Issue 4 was anticipated to be released with a price tag of $1.99. However, Amazon is locking the price of DARK MEMORY at $2.99 due to the new digital conversion rates and the royalty scheme.
It is in deeply frustrating, but in a countermeasure to help future customers save money, I had personally adjusted the price for all books so that customers will still be able to save one dollar for the price of the collection. In addition, the regular price for the first issue, Awakening, will not increase in price. Issues 2 & 3 will continue to have a $1 increase.
It is expected of Amazon to sometimes limit the low value price for books created by independent creators and authors. So, I apologize on their behalf and continuously hope that my supporters, which is hopefully you, will continue to be at my side while I am preparing the next issue.
As for GooglePlay, my sales are quite low on that end, and the GooglePlay reader app is actually a much better app to view on. So, I prefer that any reader who wants to buy my book for a lesser price on a better viewing model, download the book from the GooglePlay Store. The pricing scheme is much better on GooglePlay and sales there may help Amazon lower the price of the first book (which will result in Issue 1’s increase). These are the only solutions I can come up with at this time.
Additionally, Issue 01 is available in SPANISH on GooglePlay! So, if you have any friends who only understand Latin American Spanish, this is your chance to share the story! An Amazon version will come soon.
Once again, I want to thank everyone who shown support and condolences for my family during this time and please keep yourselves and family safe.
It’s here! The fourth issue of Yscariot is finally coming and it’s available for pre-order for the low price of $0.99. That’s NINETY-NINE CENTS! One cent less than a single US dollar! There are many things that can be done with a single dollar. However, owning this book through Amazon or GooglePlay store will allow you to keep this book in your library forever.Continue reading Issue 4: available March 25
Not much activity at the moment aside from building the third issue of the Yscariot comics, but Project Yscariot and X’el Studios is now 21 years in the making! Please help us celebrate by purchasing and enjoying a novel or comic from Amazon or GooglePlay!
In the next few hours, customers of Issue 02 will notice a change on the cover of their digital comic books. A temporary cover page was created to replace the traditional cover page that normally embraces the front of the books created by the author-creator of the series. Over five illustrators around the world were chosen create the cover over the span of four months but no submissions were made. In the meantime, the author has quickly substituted a cover that illustrates his concept of what the cover should have looked like.
Although the level of skill in the cover art is much lower than the quality of the actual comic images, it should be noted that this is only a concept and artists all over the world are more than welcomed to contribute a complete and permanent version to replace the substitute. If you are an illustrator interested in contributing cover art, please contact Marcus by clicking here.
